I've settled on Maxell (MIJ) and Taiyo Yuden for my -R discs, but am still confused on +R.
It looks like there are several brands that use Ricoh, but most of those also use other codes. On top of that, some that are Ricoh say made in Taiwan. Is there any current packaging that is consistently a top +R performer? That isn't CMC or worse? I've seen MCC mentioned as a good media code, but are there any packages you can buy off the shelf and be sure it is MCC?

it's very hard to tell about conssitent because brand names use different companies to actually manufacture the discs for them and this things change all the times... see the post about the Samsung TY dvd+R... it's a real hit... and cheap too..

The best thing to do would probably be to buy unbranded Taiyo Yuden +R media from someplace like www.rima.com or the like, that way you take no chances.

ppl are still getting TY... just don't order the 25-pack... and yeah, easiest thing would be to just buy TY... but that's more expensive...
