    Right people, I have an odd dvd which has no ifo_1 so shrink and the like will not read it. What program can I take vobs and reauthor with valid ifo's ?

    VOBEdit might be able to demux the .VOB's for you without the IFO's. If not, try saving the VOB's to your hard drive, renaming them with the.mpg extension and then demuxing with TMPGEnc MPEG Tools or any .mpg demuxer. Then author a simple DVD with IFOEdit. If you need chapter stops, load the demuxed files into MPEG2Schnitt to pick the frame numbers and create a .txt file prior to authoring in IFOEdit.

    Or, after renaming the VOB's to .mpg, author with TMPGEnc DVD Author without demuxing first.

    Any of the digital TV demuxers should be able to demux your VOB as well, projectX certainly will.
