DVD Writer Help

I have given BIN and CUE file by friend and i have been trying to use my DVD player to burn them. I am Getting an error message for wrong media and asking for CD-R/W. I am using Nero 5.5
any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, i have been trying to buy a better DVD burner software and if anyone has any suggetions as whats the best in the market would makes my life lot easier

Burning as a CD or a DVD? Most of the BIN/CUE files I see are for CD's. Anyhow, I select 'File > Burn Image' in NERO and point it to the CUE file.

For General purpose burning I use Nero 5, and for DVD's usually DVDdecrypter to burn the image files. There's a bunch of burners listed under 'Tools' to the left. IMO NERO is OK for CD's and general purpose burning, but don't use it for encoding.
