  1. I have d/l a few movies in .avi(Divx) format and would like to burn to CD-R to watch on my stand-alone DVD player. How would I do this? What program would I use? Is it even possible? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  2. to watch the divx movie on your dvd u need to first convert the divx to vcd or svcd format..also your dvd player must be compatible with vcd/svcd cd-r playback.

you'll find all the info on converting in this site on the left under HOW TO: CONVERT

  3. I've downloaded some Divx (avi) formated movie clips. Then I encoded and burned them to a cd-r using Nero demo. Also i have a SVCD,VCD- compatible DVD player (standalone). The burned movies play on a DVD player on my computer, but not on the compatible, (standalone) DVD player. Am i missing something? Hope u can help..

  5. I've checked the compatability list for my exact model and get no list, does that mean it's not compatable, and if so what can I do to make it work, since it says in it's manual that it is SVCD,VCD compliant? thanx

What is the make and model of your DVD player?

What program did you convert the file with?
    What settings did you use?
    What is the resolution?
    What is the bitrate?

Did you just burn the file to a CD-R or did you author a VCD?
