  1. I'M FINALLY AT THE POINT OF BURNING VCD'S THE CORRECT WAY, ACCORDING TO A GUIDE WRITTEN BY "LEGS AND tCi". BRIEFLY, I USED VIRTUAL DUB TO DECOMPRESS THE AUDIO AND TMPGENC TO ENCODE, BOTH AT THE CORRECT SETTINGS ACCORDING TO THE GUIDE. THE QUALITY SEEMS EXEPTIONALLY GOOD UNTIL THE 39 MINUTE POINT. THE VIDEO AND AUDIO STOPS AND PLAYS AGAIN A COUPLE TIMES THEN STOPS FOR GOOD. WHEN I USE THE SLIDER TO GET PAST THIS POINT, IT'LL PLAY FOR 10-15 SECONDS, THEN DO IT AGAIN. I'M PLAYING IN A DVD THAT CAME WITH MY COMPUTER (HP) WITH WinDVD. I ALSO BURNED TO A REWRITABLE THAT HAS BEEN ERASED ONCE. THE SOURCE FILES ARE GOOD AS WELL. ANY SUGGESTIONS? ALSO, THE PLAYBACK (THOUGH GOOD) SEEMS A LITTLE CHOPPY AS IF TOO MANY FRAMES WERE DROPPED DURING CAPTURING. ANY WAY TO FIX THIS? THANKS FOR THE HELP AND PREVIOUS HELP AS I WOULD'VE NEVER GOTTEN THIS FAR WITHOUT THIS PAGE

  2. Is it a VCD 2.0 compliant vcd? Or is it an XVCD? Because I've seen the problem a lot in this forum and it reminds me of what happens when there are too many programs running in the background when playing an avi on WMPlayer. It might be something else, but the same type of thing happened to me when I tried to screw around too much with the VCD templates to increase quality. My standalone DVD player's processor just couldn't keep up with the MPEG1 bitrate.
