I got 2 AVI's which i converted to MPEG using TMPGEnc (exactly the same bitrate, size, audio for both).
When i tried to merge the 2 MPEG's using TMPEGEnc merge tool, it said that the 2nd MPEG was unsupported by any other MPEG.
So i downloaded another MPEG merger program and used it. Worked a charm!
Opened up the merged MPEG in Windows Media Player - showed the correct playing time. Scanned through it - no problems! 1 hour, 43 minutes.
Until.... i want to make them DVD files. So i put them into TMPGEnc DVD Author - the playing time of the merged MPEG was 53 minutes (the length of the first AVI which i converted)
I also deleted the original AVI files (i assumed the MPEG was OK as i scanned through it without problems)
Is there any chance of me recovering these 50 or so minutes of lost video without the original AVI's?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Brian
