Hello. I know from the topic of this post you're probably thinking, "not another DMA/Pio question." Well, I know how to tell if my IDE is in PIO/DMA mode and I also know how to switch between the two. My primary and secondary IDE are currently in Ultra DMA mode 5. It is my device or dvd drive (optorite DD1203) that states its current tranfer mode is PIO. Normally when the system is in PIO mode, you can tell while burning because the long buffer display would fluctuate up and down very rapidly. But in my case its the smaller buffer display thats labeled device, that is moving up and down very rapidly. How do I change my device to DMA.
XP Home, 1.7ghz, 256RAM. DVD Decrypter, Alcohol 120%, Nero Express 6.
PS. This just started to happen. Just yesterday, I burned with no problem
