hi,
get this error message when trying to convert a divx to mpeg using tmpge (freezes)...can anyone please shed some light as to how to get around it.

I came across this a week or so ago myself. Turns out part of the Divx was bad. When it freezes, look at the time of the movie. Then go into VirtualDub and edit out that part. Might be an easier way, but that's how I did it.
