  1. I have captured a 3 hour PICVideo mjpeg avi and am trying to convert to mpeg 2 using tempgenc. I've done this in the past, but not with such a long avi. I've set it all up as I have before, but this time, I have a clip filter on in order to mask out some stuff, and the source position filter on to start the video at a certain frame and to adjust the audio a bit in order to sync up. I am using the SSRC audio environment plug-in program thing to convert the avi sound to wav before encoding. As stated, I've done this in the past and it has worked fine...the only difference now is the filters...the error I am getting is when I push the start button, the audio plug-in SSRC does it's thing first, creating a temporal wav file...this progresses until 50% or about 14 minutes into the encode and then I get an error "Stream writing error" which fails the process. I have a 1.4 AMD, 786 SDRAM, and 10 Gigs of HD space left...I've tried defragging the hard drive and according to my calculations, the end mpg file should be no more than 4 gigs...could someone either point me in the direction of how to get this to work or offer any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  2. Wait...I may have found the problem...I had my temporary file folder set under tmpgenc to a different hard drive that only had 1 gig of space...they may have been the problem, I set it to another drive the 10 gigs, hopefully this will work...if not, I will reply with the result.
