  1. Hey all,

ok i know this is going to be impossible but i figured maybe there is such a program. I was wondering if anyone heard of a program that can translate the audio into english or even into text. I have a video that was smuggled out of Beirut and it's all about Bin laden. Quality is excellent but it's all in arabic and i was trying to think of a way to translate it. I figured i could capture it to my hard drive and run it through something. It says it has subtitles but none show up and no matter what i do with my Tv nothing appears. If anyone knows of such a program please let me know. thank you.

speech recognition software requires you to speak clearly, probably won't help. subs may be CC. you'll either need a TV with a CC decoder or a video card in your PC with inputs and a CC decoder. if it is CC you can save these to a text file.

Can i advise you edit where you got the tape? no politics on this forum.

    try editing it to this:
I have a video from an Arabic country and it's all about someone the civilized world wants to tear apart and throw the pieces into a sewage treatment plant to soak.
That might bode a little better and you can put a link to a topic in the Politik Forum that describes it a bit better.

Babelizer, or Debabelizer, something like that?
Try a search. Course it might not work with Arabic, hell, might not work with anything.

    Cheers,
