I'm listening to the sound IE makes when pages are loaded. I'm too lazy to turn the speakers down from my earlier 3-player Doom game with my two sons

Kind of an extension to the original question (not a full out threadjack) - Who's your favorite band? The kind of band you can listen to at most any time and you enjoy (pretty much) all their stuff.

I've come to this thread from time to time looking for good music to cue up. There's some good stuff listed but I'd like to hear of some new (or old - new to me) bands.

The bands/artists I find I can put on most any time are:

    Blues Traveller
    Peter Gabriel
    54-40
    Dire Straits
    Jayhawks
    Pink Floyd
    Tragically Hip

There's others but I find I keep coming back to the above. Probably my favorite in the list is the Tragically Hip. Here's a link from www.allofmp3.com to one of their tracks.

Any links to the bands stuff or even their own sites would be appreciated.

There are many ways to measure success. You just have to find your own yardstick.

NIN - The Downward Spiral DualDisc release. Looks like the new album is done and tour dates will be announced soon. Haven't seen them yet, but I'd like to.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
