Trying to burn an AVI orMPGEG/Xvid file to DVD

I am trying to burn an AVI, MPEG,Xvid file to DVD so i can play it on my Sony DVD player but it won't play! I am using Nero.

I know when I have a T.S file, I use COPYTODVD & that works fine! However,any other file I can't seem to get it to work!!!

What software do i need so I can burn the file to DVD & play it on a stand alone DVD player?

If you do not like to read the guides, the best prescription for you is watch it on your tv, or go buy the original.

Otherwise, read up and you will be able to answer your own question(s).
