    just bought a pc and writer and have just had my dvd of my wedding sent to me,

    i have used dvd2one and then DVD Decrypter and
    have followed the help me files on burning with nero 6 and seemed to have burned ok with no errors but i go to play on my dvd player and get cant read disk


    any help would be good as like i said, new to this and i think im in it way over my head

  2. When u say dvd player, do u mean the computer one or the standalone one. If u mean standalone, your player might not support reading the disc. Have a check on the left for compatibility.

    Also, if u use dvd+r then u might try bitsetting your discs to dvd-rom before burning, this increases the compatibility but not sure if your writer supports it. Can u give us the model and brand?

    Also if did use dvd+r, try dvd-r as they are reported to have more compatability although some may not agree with me.

    cheers for the reply, it wont play on my stand alone with tv, its a sony dvp-ns305 and im usinG DVD-R disks, my burner is a NEC DVD_RW ND-2500A

    is it right that when ripped to my ts folder i have a few files in there that are not recognised, i have 2 files that say windvd playback and 2 bup files

    these are the files that have been ripped but are not recognised in my ts folder

    the disks im using are packard bell dvd-r 1 x speed, but i have orded 50 {DV 3071/25} Ritek Inkjet Printable A Grade (4x) DVD-R

    are these disks any good, recomended from a friend on a web site

    So this is your wedding somebody put on dvd? If so then its probably a burned dvd not factory produced (stamped) and no copy protection.

    If this is correct then just use dvd decrypter to do an ISO read then burn the iso to a new blank dvd, yes ritek are generally good discs.
