  1. I am trying to watch a movie which comes with the subtitles as a different file. now the video format is divx and the subtitles are in .sub and .idx. I tried adding the subtitles to the movie throught VLC's prefences but when I choose one of the subtitle tracks nothing seems to happen. It may be that i missed a step with VLC or there may be another way. Please provide me with a simple guide on how i can combine the sub with the vid. Thanks

  2. Try with MPlayer app...Just select .avi and .sub together and drop it on MPlayer list...Hit play and thats it....idx is index file, not the subtitle and You dont need it...

    I noticed the same thing even with new VLC
    maybe something is wrong with the subtitle function of that newest version

    Anyone else notice this. Ill give mplayer a try, didnt think of that since i use VLC for basically EVERYTHING!
