Anyone smoke by the computer?

I don't smoke, but I have seen many computers of those that do. My father is a landlord that supports a little of his retirement now. He used to have several buildings, but sold all but one complex once he retired from his mainstream job. The sad thing is when we had to clean the apts. of smokers. I remember cleaning and painting the rooms all a neutral white. 3 months later a smoker is evicted and the walls look yellow and the carpet is a bit greasy. Usually have to buy new fan and lighting fixtures too. Smoke gets everywhere. Smokers computers get dirtier a lot faster than a non-smokers, but you shouldn't have your computer right next to you either. I'm working on a set up with some extended cables to a modified minitower that just houses the optical and floppy drives and a remote reset and power button. The main tower, with motherboard and harddrives, will be in another room with the server and other towers. I can keep that room cool and I'm right next to all the stuff I really need, let alone the space saver.

Mine is in the living room so my mom smokes around it alot yeah. But I have to clean it alot anyways, our carpet is rather old and puts out alot of particles so the fans gunk up pretty quick. Like in a month or so you can see through the grid that covers the fan.

Reminds me of when I was 12 years old. I had a saturday job in a pub. I used to pinch hundreds of fags. Sold them for thrupence each at school. One day we all got busted, about 6 of us. Headmaster searched us all. Some kids had 1 fag hidden, some as many as 5. When he got to me I had over 200! Bastard confiscated them. Wonder what he did with em?

Over time it'll lead to a healthier PC. With a few small treatments, you might be able to totally rid your PC of the harmful effects of smoking.

I too had a friend who smoked near his PC. An emergency came up and his PC had to be looked at. It was a life changer. To see how bad the effects of smoking over time near a PC can be life changing.

However, only a few things were transplanted, and the PC is on the road to a nice recovery.
