    Greets all..

In Premiere 6.0/6.5, I can import .avi files and mp2 files, but often when i import .wav files I can't hear them when I preview the movie. If I render they work ok, but editing is very difficult with no sound. I wondered if Premiere was mad about de-muxed mpeg2 files or if maybe my sound card just wasn't working well with Premiere.

I notice when i import mp2's it seems to fill up the 1st audio track with the .mp2 file (muxed?) but if I delete this audio and drop in my own .wav it doesn't play...

    Any advice appreciated... =)

  2. Start a new project, and only drop a WAV file into the timeline. Does it work?

If yes, then it could be that the audio doesn't like the other audio/video and that is creating problems.

If no, you might have a sound driver or sound codec issue.
