Hey all,
I just installed a new 56k internal modem at home ...(non PNP)
(yea I know... just too cheap to go DSL or Cable plus dial-up thru work RAS = FREE)
... and it is having difficulty connecting to companies IPass service. (prior modem worked fine before lightning strike and it got toasted.. so config is good)
So.. this morning I looked and looked in XPpro for the tons of modem drivers they used to have in 95, 98 and ME (and maybe even 2k)... I looked on the CD, etc... nada... before you used to see 20 USR and many other vendor / models of modems.. I was gonna try the '56k generic' that I remember seeing all to often.
Anyone have any ideas if these are still offered in XP... and where?
Thanks
