  3. Is there some way to add quicktime 4 to the tools section because a lot of people (ok me too) have installed 5.0 and got screwed

    after searching for quicktime 4 my girlfriend actually found it for me on apple's web-site!

    be sure before you install it that you completely unistall quicktime 5. even though it tells you it's not recomended, you'll have to choose the 'remove all associations' option.

    then install quicktime four, and enjoy!

    perhaps this link should be added somewhere in the conversion guides, as it is needed to make the qt_reader function properly

    Hi,

    I can Convert .mov to Mpeg with the QTreader plugin for TMPGenc with QuickTime 5 installed.

    Yes you are right that it doesn't work when it's not registered but once you register it then it seems to work for me.
