This is odd. I did my first DV capture a few days ago and encoded last night. When I opened the .m2v file with WMP, I noted 58 minutes as the total length. I know darn well there was more than 58 minutes there. BUT, nothing seems to be missing from the file and it doesn't appear speeded up. I encoded with tmpgenc 2 pass VBR @ 3200 avg 352x480 30fps like always. 170 minutes I believe was the length of the AVI. The file sizes are exactly as they're supposed to be: Almost 4GB total between two files and room left over for audio. I've started the authoring phase anyway. Has that happened to anyone else?![]()

tried any other player? other mpeg2 codec? wmp could report wrong...
