  1. I tried to connect my camcorder SONY DCR PC115E by iLink (Firewire) for capturing to my PC. Plugging in the camcorder and nothing happens.
Doing the same by a friend's PC (his camcorder works correctly)
... but my camcorder same results nothing!!!!.
Months ago everything was OK .

Do you think it can be bad DV-OUT.
Is there any firmware or update ??

    Thanks for HELP

  2. Did you find anything out? I appear to be having a similar problem, although I haven't had the time to try out on someone else's computer.

It seems to be a problem with Windows XP. I have a Dell with XP and a Sony HC30 camcorder, but I have had no problem downloading through I-link.

My brother's PC will not recognize just about any camcorder. His computer is a newer Dell with XP.

I have been trying to find a solution for him, but so far nothing works. (copying drivers from my PC, different firewire card, etc.). There is alot on line about this problem, with no definative solutions yet.

The only thing I may try next on his PC, is installing Sonic MY DVD on his computer since this is the main program I use to capture video from my camcorder. My version of Sonic MY DVD came with my Sony DRX 500ULX burner and may be the reason my PC recognizes my camcorder.

If you find a solution, post again.

    Good Luck
