  1. Which software allows you to create "Text only" Menu easily? A wizard may be helpful too.
    Thanks in advance.

  2. You can create pictures in for example Photoshop with your Text and use them in nearly all authoring software. The subpictures you need for buttonhighlight can be created on same way.
Authoring software you can take to create your DVD with menus are:
Adobe EncoreDVD, DVD Meastro, DVD-Lab, Scenarist .....
This software is not very easy to use, so if you are new to author DVDs there are a lot of easier tools (often on CDs you bought with your DVD burner) but i dont know much about these tools so when using them i can't help you

I've been playing around with DVD Styler, which looks good, and is free. It puts text based buttons onto a background image. It only supports highlighting by changing foreground and background colours, but that's fine by me. I'd have liked something that could do a semi-transparent background, but nothing free supported that. I'll live with it :)

I've also played with dvdauthor GUI, which looks very flexible but is a bit harder to use, and GUI for dvdauthor, which is easier to use but produced a menu that didn't work right in PowerDVD (the highlighted versions of the buttons were displayed in a different place to the non-highlighted ones). Not sure if that was something I did, or something it got wrong.

  5. That is interesting! Could you please tell me a little bit more about this problem? What kind of menu did you create: NTSC or PAL and 16:9 or 4:3? Can you see the 'misplacement' also in the preview? If you can reproduce this error, could you send me the project files (the saved project gfd file and all png, jpg, xml and bat files) by email? I would like to fix that problem, but as it doesn't appear on my system, I'm lost without these files.
