Whats up with the Ads on the main page?

Does anybody think that someone that is computer savy enough to rip and convert a movie is going to be scared by the blinking adds and think "you know maybe my computer is infected and someone is spying on me, maybe I should click this link here and download whatever it is they are offering so I can rest easy?"

Come on, lets get more adds showing hot ladies!! (sorry if I have offended any hot ladies out there...)

Those ads are directed at the newbies. Once you get above 500 posts all the ads switch to nothing but naked girls. You don't even want to know what I see when I log on, but I can tell you that its illegal in at least six states. So keep on postin'.

Seriously, I'm sure this site ain't cheap to run so you can't blame Baldrick for using whichever ads pay the bills. If you can find another more relevant ad with better click through pay outs then I'm sure Baldrick would be interested.

I'll have to back Adam up. The ads are there to keep the website alive and free. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be able to surf most of our favourite sites. It's all those annoying pop-ups that piss me off mostly and videohelp doesn't have any, so we shouldn't complain.

BTW, what's the point of this post? I don't see it's relevance with video

I think you can be expert in video editing and still know nothing about computers. I know a guy who can do anything with audio on a PC but still i am the one fixing the more common things on his PC, he dont know how to do it. Also, when i wroked with user support i met people who was experts in some programs, like autocad and alike, still they didnt know how to install a screencard driver by themselves. Spyware and video are two different areas of expertise, so these adds might be very helpful even to experienced users of this forum.

I have a pop-up blocker and tweaked HOSTS file. I see no ads.

Opera shows me nothing.
IE 5.5 and 6 shows me adds when I'm 1024 x 768 (my default)
