I'm having a problem linking to a movie and playing it's second audio track rather than its first. I know I can achieve this by using the set angle/audio/sub-picture command, but for some reason I can not set the link command as its greyed out.
Here is how I have my program set up. I have a TITLE menu which is located under the video manager. It goes to the ROOT menu which is located under the language folder of my VTS. Under the Title folder of the VTS is where all my video files are. All my menu files are under the language folder. I want to link from the comentary menu in the language folder to the movie in the Title folder of the VTS. But when I use set angle/audio/sub-picture the jump to PGC only shows what is under the language folder and nothing in the title folder. Also, the jump to part of title command is greyed out.
I'm kinda of stumped. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Thanks!

Sarahp, I don't know much about Scenarist but there are couple of things which seem to be wrong. Perhaps some of the Scenarist users on this site (which may not be many; I know Adam has it) can help you further on the "how" part (or check the manual).
The SetSTN command is irrelevant to your problem so you can leave it on a side.
There's no such command as jump to PGC. I assume you're refering to link PGC. This command can only be used within the same domain (so it's normal that Scenarist only gives you the option to link to other PGCs in the language unit) and you can't jump from a menu to a title with it. You must use JumpVTS_TT.
Don't know why the jump to part of title command would be greyed out thought. Maybe again you're mixing the two commands: one is Link PTT which can be used to jump to a chapter point within the same VTS, the other one is JumpVTS_PTT (which is the one you need) which can be used to jump to a chapter point from the menu. Maybe the one Scenarist is greying out is Link PTT? -
first of all I've to understand what vou've done:
Titlemenu in VMG.
Rootmenu in VTSM_DOM
I want to link from the comentary menu in the language folder to the movie in the Title folder of the VTS
As petar said with the SetSTN command combinated with a Link command you can only link to a target in the same domain (here VTSM_DOM). A Link to the videofiles in your title can only set direct (like JumpVTS_TT) or with a PGC-command. To solve your problem you can create a dummy PGC in your languagefolder (VTSM_DOM) with a precommand JumpVTS_TT (or if you want to link to a chapter JumpVTS_PTT). In your menu you can now select SetSTN and link to the created dummy-PGC. This PGC will link to your videofiles with the precommand. -
After reading cona's post, I think now I understand what you're doing. You're trying to combine SetSTN with jump as a button command (I thought you're using pre/post commands in a PGC, that's why I told you that the SetSTN command is irrelevant to your problem).
Yes, as cona mentioned SetSTN can only be combined with link, not jump commands and as I mentioned before you need a jump command to move from your menu to your movie. -
Thanks everyone for your help. I made the dummy PGC main menu under the language folder and put a PRE command on it so that it would go directly to my other main menu under the title folder. All is working great now!
