this is going to be my second time trying to burn a dvd, can somebody tell me if these steps are correct or am i missing something......
1) open up my tmpgenc 3.0xpress program
2) load in my clips (ex: mpeg, avi , wmv or quicktime)
3) convert the clips to mpeg2
4) join the parts of the movie together
5) burn to dvd
now can some body tell me if these steps are done right or am i leaving something out or a step is not in the right order....

There is another step between 4 and 5, called authoring. If you explore the contents of a DVD Video, you will usually find 2 folders ( Audio_ts and Video_ts) and within video_ts you will find .vob, .ifo and .bup files. These files are the result of a DVD authoring tool. If you want to create your own DVD Videos and watch them on your standalone, you have to author them. Read the Author section, located under the how to group of this webpage and you will get an idea.
