i want to create a backup for my 50 original vcd movies. ill just do a quick cd to cd copy using nero 6 with my ASUS 52X32X52 CD Writer.

since i need to finish the burning ASAP while i still have free time, can i do it in one setting, continously with out any break for my CD writer
will my CD writer give up or crank out?... is this advisable?

or shall i stop for example after 10 vcd and rest for 10 minutes then continue my burning?

what is your experience on this guys? what is the maximum number of vcd that you burned in one sitting? im just concerned for my CD writer coz i still don't have a budget to buy new one though its cheap ...

I would burn maybe 10 in a row and then take a break cause the writer will heat up a lot depending on the enclosure its fitted into, too much heat will result in failed burns as reported by other people with the same situation you are going to go into.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  3. If your pc is well ventilated I do not think you will have a problem.

I did around 180 once all fine, no errors with my old Misumi drive (and its still going strong).
    If it's wet, drink it

I have never thought about this. There have been times when I have burned 20 or so audio CD-Rs in a row. There might have been issues but those may have been because of crappy thin-dye CD-R media. I think there is nothing to worry about, although a short rest seems like a sensible idea. CD and DVD writers are designed to be used for long periods of time, unless they are crap.

BTW, are you making VCDs of whole seasons of your wife's Korean sitcom? She is quite a hotty ya know.
