OK, I haven't had much luck in solving this problem, so I went back to the video store and rented some other DVDs to practice with and see where I was going wrong. I also stole a box of Zours and some Red Vines.

I tried ripping The Day After Yesterday and compressing it down to fit on one of these discs and I'm still having problems. I can get 16 pixels now, but there are these two black bars on the left and right side of the screen and the entire movie is in Chinese. So I went on the Internet and downloaded a copy of The Day After Tomorrow and when I burned that file, I get no sound and Russian subtitles! What the **** is going on here?

I finally gave up and scanned the label side of each disc into my computer and printed the same images on a set of printable Princo discs I stole from my neighbor and returned those in the case instead of the original DVDs. Now that I've got the originals I can spend more time working on this problem but I won't get anywhere if you self-righteous know-it-alls don't step up to the plate and help me do this! I don't have time to learn all this shit, I've got 812 other DVDs I want to copy from the video store and I've got friends who have already paid money for me to copy these discs.

Well, first of all, "The day after yesterday" combined with "The day after tomorrow" would make tomorrow, which is a day when nothing exciting happens. and the simplest way to solve the language problem is to move to China to watch it. As for the bars on the side, turn your tv sideways, then the bars will be on the top and bottom, making it a widescreen movie. there, problem solved.

The day after today is only tomorrow today. Tomorrow, tomorrow will be today and today will be yesterday. But tomorrow the day after tomorrow will never be today nor yesterday it can only be tomorrow. Unless of course if the day after tomorrow is yesterday the day before yesterday when yesterday was that day's tomorrow but that would make today friday, but today is wednesday, yesterday was tuesday and therefore the day after tomorrow has to be tomorrow which will be friday.

Should be much clearer now

And the wednesday thing doesnt work, it is wednesday here *now* but when you wrote it it was *Tuesday* here, so it all would shift one day back in time, therefore since you say it works on Wednesdays it actually does on Tuesday, therefore tomorrow (Thursday) is Wednesday, which is TODAY. Thus day after tomorrow IS today.

Seriously, Canada is one of my favorite spots on earth. I'm 1/2 French Canadian and have loads of family in Montreal. Never been there, but I've been to Ontario twice for weeks at a time. Lots of maple and birch trees ...and lots and lots of lakes. Maybe if I can talk my wife into building a summer house there after I retire I can think of worse ways to live out my old age than camping and fishing in Ontario during the summer and living here in the winter
