Ya'll helped me out alot last week with something else.. hoping ya can here to.. I got some items on VHS that i would like to put on DVD.... I have read through some of the Guides on this site... This one here seemed to be the most simple.. it is??

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/89899.php

I capture my vhs tapes using my Dazzle Fusion.... what is the best capture program that i should be using? The three that i have on my PC right now are Pinnacle Studio 8, Windows Movie Maker 2, and Virtualdub, and Ulead VideoStudio 7....

However my lack of knowledge throws me for a loop.. i dont wanna waste a DVD.. but i want these DVD's to be "the best" qaulity that i can make em.. sooo..

what format should i capture in?
    What frame rate?
    what resolution size
? (i have tested a few and full sreen them and they seemed kinda blurry)..........

    thanks,
    shawn

Not familiar with your product, but from http://www.pinnaclesys.com/docloader_n.asp?templ=10&doclink=/WebVideo/fusion/English(US)/doc/key_features.html&Product_ID=1429&Langue_ID=7&loc= spec&division_id= , i would tell you that the resolution is for my liking..

If you can, capture through Virtualdub, using preferrably 352x480 as per the above guide....
Unless you can capture ???x480 (NTSC), or ???x576(PAL), you're wasting your time, as far as DVD for television is concerned..

    OH yeah, i forgot

what format should i capture in?
    What frame rate?

    1) .AVI format, with either DV compression, Huffy compression, or PicVideo.

    2) You're framerate would be 29.97fps (depending on the source)..
25fps if you're in PAL land.

    3) Since DV is 720x480, that's a given. Otherwise, for clean VHS sources, 352x480 (Half D1)..

    Good luck!!!
