Backing up Lost in La Mancha. Problem is with disk one. Story so far . .

1. Copied to HDD with DVD Decrypter in file mode
2. Tidied up in DVD Remake
3. Re-encoded with DVD Rebuilder and CCE
4. Played from HDD to check it out, and all works fine
5. Burn to DVD-R (Princo - yes, I know - bear with me)
6. Play back in stand alone and have two sections where the audio signals drops out briefly. Neither are on the outer edge of the disk
7. Play back DVD-R in PC, no problems
8. Copy files back to HDD and play with PowerDVD. No problems
9. Burn again (this time to Ritek G04 DVD-R)
10. Test DVD-R in PC - all OK
11. Play in standalone, audio drop out again. Not exactly the same places, but within a second or two

Why ?
