I recently made a dual audio SVCD with subtitles. Now, on my player both audios work, however the subtitles will not play. This may be because I made the SVCD incorrectly. Is it common to assume if the player plays dual SVCD tracks then it can play the subtitles too? At any rate, I was wondering if there was a program I could use to test the SVCD and see if the subtitles work? Thanks in advance

You can burn the svcd to an image file, then mount the image to a virtual drive using Damon tools, and then play it on a software dvd player and see if it works.

The only software DVD player that supports soft encoded subs in SVCDs is the latest version of media player classic. I also recommend creating and mounting an image and playing it like that.
All SVCD compatible DVD players are required to play 2 stereo or 4 mono audio tracks. Subtitle support, on the other hand, is completely optional and most hardware players don't support it. There are two different subtitle formats though, SVCD and CVD. CVD is actually more compatible overall, but you should try both to see which one works best on your player, or if either is supported at all.
