  1. I have a couple of them actually. I edited together a music video. I took the files right from dvds (ripped .vobs which I then edited to fit my needs). The strange thing is, when I try to encode them with mainconcept, the end result is full of encoding glitches and pixelation. The audio plays fine and never cuts, just the video that's messed up and I'm wondering why. I did this before but with downloaded mpg files and when I encoded them, it went without a problem. Infact since I still had the .veg file of my 1st project (the one that got encoded fine) with all the files, I loaded it up and re-encoded it for fun to see if it'll mess up but it didn't. Everything plays fine in the preview box and when I output a preview or a draft, there are no problems. Just wondering if anyone ever ran into something like that before.

The other problem I have is a techincal one. For some reason as soon as I register Vegas, I can no longer access the 'Custom' menu of the mainconcept plugin. I had to uninstall the program and re-install it so I could use it in trial mode for 30 days in order to be able to access the custom settings of the plugin. I'm gonna call those guys up and ask in a day or 2 but I'm just wondering if anyone ran into this problem before.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I think I can help you with your Custom MPEG-2 options. Locate this key in the registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Media Software\MC MPEG Plug-In\1.0\License]
You'll find CurrentKey, InstFlags and key1 entries there. Delete key1 and you should have your custom mpeg-2 options back.

  3. That worked like a charm erratic. Much thanks. If anyone else happens to have an idea about the encoding errors, I could still use some help with that.
