tmpeg dvd source creator

has anyone used this program and what is there thoughts on it.. Im looking to get a good conversion tool along with a authoring tool for my movie hobbie... I use the tmpeg dvd author now and like it really well and have been using the tmpeg 3.0 xpress for encoding but my trials are up in a couple weeks... reason I ask there are some sites selling a retail version of the tmpeg author software and including the dvd source creator with it for a good price ... thanks...

dvd creator is just the same as tmpgenc plus only it has a prettier gui and the wizard allows for easier encode setup.

Does it have the Phone Home drawback like TMPGEnc Express 3.0 and TMPGEnc AC3 Encoder?

heh, i don't think so. I used the trial version and i didn't have to "phone home".

I used this dvd source creator last night and ended up stopping it for following reason.. during the encoding process most softwares have the option to turn off the preview of the file while its being encoded. well I cant find this option in this software which greatly increases encoding time..Is there something I missed with this software or is this how it operates with the preview on by default with no option of disabling it... thanks...
