  1. i recently purchased some datawrite yellow discs.they were quite cheap £16 fr a bulk pack of 25.anyway ive had no end of toruble with them.sometimes when i try to burn movies onto them they are saying that theres a writing error which ive never had with any of my other dvd discs ive bought which WERENT the datawrite discs.the movies i have succeeded to burn onto these discs have skipped on my dvd player.has anyone else had probems with these discs or is it just the discs arent compatible with my dvd player.my dvd player is a philips dvp520.

    Aghhh datawrite disks are evil!!! yeah i had the same problem, out of a pack of 25 only 3 worked.
    Its a problem with the dye that is used, ive been trying to get a refund with no such luck.
    i always use disk's which have the g04 dye on them go to http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk and get any dvd thats not datawrite

  3. yeh the datawrite yellows are shite.
    and at £16 for 25,thats not cheap atall.
    there actually more like £6.50 for 25,at least they are from a few online stockists in the uk,and in the local pc store near me.
    get rid of them,send or take them back.

  5. i bought them from blankmediadiscshop.co.uk im pretty annoyed i spent all that money and they dont even flipping work.its good to know im not doing anything wrong though.

    Which ones did you buy the 8 speed or the 4 speed...

    Could the problem be your burner dosen't support the 8X disks..... As you are running a Freecom 4X burner its a pretty good guess.. Unless you have had the disks a while...
    Never noticed just how much dearer + based media is... 4X datarite yellow in -r Using Ritek GO4 Dye is only £7.99.....
    Not bothered by small problems...
