I am having problems editing some footage i captured. The footage i captured is 29mins long, and runs fine on Windows Media Player. However, when i come to edit in Premiere 6, i preview the footage and its lost around 20 frames per second !!!!!

So, i try and save it. Then watch it on WMP, and it is about 3-4 fps !?!?!
Can somebody please help.

Why use premiere to edit video? Are you adding transitions and stuff? If all you want is to cut a few scenes out, use Virtual dub instead

i'm not using Virtualdub because i want to delete most scenes, and only keep a few. then i want to re-arrange them and add backing music. So i find Premiere easier to use for this.
