i use the hollywood drivers and station player with this creative decoder
board. playback is fine on the monitor. when i switch to TV-out
the TV picture shows this weird blotchy coloring which is particularly
noticeable in dimmer regions of a scene. it appears that colors are
being crudely rendered. for example a face may show 3 or 4 bands of
hues for skin color.
what is more perplexing is that this seems to happen often but not
all the time. i force TV-out to NTSC but the problem occurs whether
i play NTSC or PAL DVDs.

I have a DXR3 in a PIII-S PC (Via based Mobo). I’m using the latest Real Magic DXR3 drivers, W2K SP2, 512 MB RAM (PC133).
Sometimes I use this card to play a Pal DVD or MPEG pal files in NTSC format and capture it in my other PC. I have not been able to duplicate the problems you are referring.
Do you have the same problem through S-Video and Composite connection?
