  1. Look at that, isn't it strange? It does this whenever there is motion, when things are still it looks ok. I'm using the highest quality motion search. Any help? The template I used is Standard PAL VCD. This is with TMPGenc 2.0, but 12a does the same thing. Strange thing is, it didn't USE to do this - so I'm at a loss here. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling, no difference.

    For informations sake, BBMpeg does the conversions fine, but the aspect ratio of most DVDs is way to wide for the small screen my VCDs are intended to play, so I need to crop.

  2. ooooooh, the horrors of odd interlacing. Play around with your field orders, or if your frameserving do the de-interlace step BEFORE any cropping, resizing or trimming.
