    Hello,

I have been working to clean audio from a vhs transfer. I used a pro program to dehiss it and then used besweet to convert it back to mp2 (I also tried ac3). When I put that file in Tmpgenc Dvd Author it didn't recognize it as being valid. It kept saying it needed to be an .ac3 or mp2 file even though it was.

I then tried tmpgenc regular to turn a mp2 into a mp2 thinking TDA might recognize it better. The conversion worked. This is strange because all I did was input the mp2 audio file and tell it to make it a new mp2 audio file.

My project file is going to be about an hour and a half and I'd rather not have to clean it, convert it, then run it through tmpgenc regular to get TDA to read it properly.

If anyone has had this odd problem before please let me know. Thanks.

    Hello,
Thanks nwo for writing. I didn't think that the bitrate would effect the readibility of the file. I'll try it to see what happens. I've had too high of bitrate warnings when doing movie trailers but it still accepted the ac3 file. I'll see if that might be the issue, it could save a processing step.
    Thanks.

You need to run your outputted file from BeSweet through a program called BeSliced (should be in your BeSweet directory). This removes the header which is confusing TDA into thinking that it is an invalid file.

Simply launch BeSliced and drag your file onto the picture of the "bearded guy" (as silly as that sounds!!) and then select the same output format as the file you dragged (i.e. AC3 or wav). It is very quick and works well every time with no sync errors.

    Good Luck
