I thought WinAVI sounded a little too good to be true. I've found of all conversions that AVI to DVD is the toughest, and I normally use a more complex procedure, but I was looking for something to quick-convert AVIs onto DVD for the kids to watch.
I had a movie consisting of 2 AVI files. WinAVI created the DVD folder in an astonishing 50-something minutes (how is that possible?!?). But when I tried to burn it, the program gave me an error. I then quit and tried to use Nero to burn the files, but Nero also advised me of some error or other and warned that the DVD might not be playable.
I just don't know about spending any $$ on this. For instance, I was confused about how the program would know which of my 2 AVI files went first. Would it put them in the correct order? Would it put them together as one continuous movie? Would the DVD have a menu?
Guess I'll never know. I think I'll stick to a more "old-fashioned" conversion method.

Just try WinAVI v5.7 beta2 test version, it fixed all the bugs we have known. You can get it from:
http://www.winavi.com/WinAVI57_beta2.exe
If you find any problem, please contact us: support@winavi.com

>And, how to convert 2 svcd into 1 dvd as a continuous movie?
That's very easy. When you click "AVI to DVD" button in WinAVI, it will pop up a dialog to let you choose your files to DVD, just choose the files you want to put them to 1 DVD, yes, choose the 2 svcd in once, not 2 times. Then WinAVI will put them into 1 DVD as a continuous movie.
