  1. I searched until my eyes bled and can't find the answer so I hope someone here can help me.
The question is: I tried to play some backup DVDs in my car and some will play fine and others won't. All tested backup DVDs were made by the same program and they all worked fine with home deck DVD player. By DVD player in my car, I mean the player installed by manufacturer as an option. I am trying to understand why some will play and some won't.
Thank you much in advance for any help.
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum (it doesn't seem to fit in any other forum).

Yes. The same type, same manufacturer, same spindle.

  4. My Honda Odyssey is very picky. Will play all DVD-R's (although a few skips on occassion)... and only a few Mfg's +R's

It hates lables (a few of my -R's would not play at all... label off, plays. - go figure.

Did you do a search for your car in the dvd player lists to the right. I found some valuable info there.

I saw a link to "DVD Players" to the left but have no idea how to do the search. I don't know who made the player in the car and I can't find anything by putting in the car name.
Please give me a little more hint on how to use it.
    Thank you much in advance.
