I have a friend who recorded a F1 race off SpeedVision on his Sony RDR-GX7 onto a Memorex DVD+RW, approx 3hrs30minutes, and ask me to make a couple copies on my Phillips DVD-Writer. (Dell/WinXP)
I've tried Nero 6 and DVDXcopy to just copy the DVD, and get read errors or CRC errors 70-80% into the read. I've tried several other programs, including Nero, the extract the video and files, and I get the same results. The DVD plays fine on all my players, although I haven't played it the entire length of the video.
Any thoughts on what might be wrong with the DVD, or what I am doing wrong?

If you cannot rip the recorded DVD to hard disk by DVD Shrink then use DVD Decrypter. After ripping to hard disk, you use NERO to burn copies.
The problem rests with +RW recorders is its navigation file .ifo is not compatible if 2 or more recordings were done on one disc.Sam Ontario -
I have similar problems with +RW discs made on a Philips stand alone recorder. DVDecrypter in iso mode usually fails, ifo mode works most of the time, so I can reauthor. DVDShrink won't recognize the disc at all.
"Copy disc" in Ulead DVD Movie Factory 2 has worked every time.
