  1. Everytime I create IFO's with IFOEdit it puts a chapter every minute instead of the ones that are already in the VOB. Any idea how to stop this?

I'd better add that the VOBs are from a standalone Philips DVDR75 recorder and when played in the Philips the chapters are every 5 mins. When played in Power DVD they are every 5 mins but when compiled with IFOEdit they are every 1 min.

    Thanks

  2. The chapter points are stored in the IFO file, not in the VOBs. If you're using IfoEdit to create the IFO files it has the option to put a chapter point for each cell (which is the only logical thing it can do because it doesn't know where the original chapters were since you're only providing the VOBs). Probably you're using this option and your recorder makes a new cell each minute (or after you've modified the VOBs with whatever tool you used, it created a cell each minute - I assume this is why you're making new IFO files - you're "messing" with the VOBs).

With IfoEdit you can delete the chapter points you don't want. They are stored in the PTT_SRPTI table. If you find this complicated, re-author with something like TMPGEnc DVD Author, which can import the VOBs and let you set up your chapter points wherever you want.
