hi, i have 1 drama episode in .DAT which is corrupted i think cause when i try to scroll forward but the video and audio is stuck and the time kept moving..
Using media player classic to view
Using media player 7 get me an error "cLASS fACtory cannot supply requested class"


Is there any way to fix this prob?

do I need to re-encode? if yes wat tools do I need? and how do I maintained the same size as original.. and best setting to reduce the quality loss to minimum?

You could use VCDGear to get it back to MPG, or go DAT --> DAT whilst scanning for MPEG errors. That might help.
