  1. I am new to dvd video burning. I got some divx files, converted to MPG2 (NTSC) using TMPGEnc, used ac3machine to get .ac3 sounds.

Then used TMPGenc DVD author to make dvd disc(DVD-R format using Toshiba).

Now, I am able to see the movie in my computer, but stuck in standalone dvd player (Pioneer 503 model). The video plays 1 min. with audio and stuck. When I fast forward, it again plays a min and stuck. Whereas in computer it plays very well.

Experts, please guide me what went wrong?

    Thanks in advance

ac3machine(ffmpeg) ac3s does not work that good on pioneer players. try convert with another ac3 tool or convert to mpeg audio or wav/pcm audio.

  3. Thanks Baldrick.
Is there any other ac3 tool ?

If I convert to wav / pcm audio, I may loose some quality. I do not know about it.

I will try to do something.

Once again thanks for the help.

  5. I got the answer. The reason for that issue I described was due to Pioneer DVD will have issues with ac3machine.

I solved the issues using sonic acid pro 4 or sound forge 7, to convert ac3 from mp3/wav file.

Used encore to author for 5.1 ac3 for dvd.

This is just all others info.
