  1. Hi all I have a quick question for you. I created a motion menu in DVD-Lab and when I go to play it back in my PC using PowerDVD it plays back just fine but on my standalone which is a Phillips DVD-711 (Yeah I know its a pretty old player) I do not get the highlight boxes which allow me to select my chapters. I searched and found a few posts dated back in 2003 were a few people were saying it could be that the standalone just doesn't support it. What do you think. I will try it on a different standalone this weekend, but until then I thought I would just ask.

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
verno, I use exactly the same standalone player every day (it's the only one I got, and it ain't broke yet... ).

I have made many DVDs with motion menus in DVD-Lab (ver 1.4 BETA 2), then burned in NERO 5.5, and have never had this problem at all. Even done the chapters motion menu, with motion thumbnails-no problems.

Does the DVD play at all? I mean, do you get to the main menu? If so, can you then get to your "chapters" menu, and see the chapter selections?

How are you creating the motion menus (using DVD-Lab built in "render motion menu" or by dragging from the preview pane, or some other method...)?

Hate to ask all these questions, but I wanna know!!!
