  1. I have been downloading movies off morphius. They come in as avi or video files. I convert them over to mpeg with TmPGE. Then I burn them with easy CD creator 5. The movie is in two halves. Each on a cd-r in vcd format. When I play it on my dvd player, that is hooked up to my digital TV. The sound quality is great but the picture stinks. There has to be a way to get a better picture!!! Can anyone help me?? PS, please break it down in simple terms for me, I am just learning all this stuff.. Thanks

  2. I'm afraid the old addage garbage in garbage out applies here. If you master your own VCDs from a 'perfect' source (i.e. a DVD) then you will be AMAZED at what kind of picture quality you can get. But, since you say you are downloading, I assume you are downloading in Divx format? So are taking a Greatly reduced format and then uncompressing it slightly...and whatever quality is there will degrade slightly (think copying videotapes over and over). In short, with a whole lot of fiddling in TMPGenc you can probably get a decent quality movie, but you aren't going to get high quality unless you rip from a DVD.

  3. i agree....if you are downloading off of morpheus, chances are they are not the best quality to begin with....i use morpheus all the time and have never found a movie with the quality that I can encode from a DVD....they compress them a rediculous amount so that they can be easily distributed over slower connections

your best bet, is doin it on your own

    sorry
