Anyone know where to find a list of VCD compatible DVD players? I have a pioneer DV-333 and when I put the VCd in it says PBC VCD Play but nothing happens. It works in my dreamcast so I know the discs are legit. Thankd , BD

  2. Try "DVD Players" on the menu to the left on this website. Remember - VCDs you create on CD-R or CD-RW media is not considered a VCD to a DVD player, they are considered either CD-Rs or CD-RWs so make sure your DVD player is capable of CD-R and/or CD-RW Playback.

I just looked up your model and is shows capability of almost any media so - sorry - I have no answers for you, but Good Luck anyway.

Ummm, sorry BobbyDigital but just because your DreamCast plays it doesn't mean that it is a valid VCD. You're burning the discs with GypPlay on them right? Well, GypPlay can play discs with MPEGs in the root...but that disc wouldn't play on a DVD player.

If the DV-333 is anything like the DV-343, then it is a Twin Wave Laser and can read both CDR and CDRW media.

My Pioneer DV-333 plays everything I put in it. Commercial VCDs, CDRs, CDRWs, Standard VCD, SVCD, XVCD, XSVCD. I have played with everything. Mine says the same thing when you put a disc in it, but when you press play, it goes. You can also hit track forward, and it will play and give you all the track info, such as disc length, track length, etc.

Hmm I have never heard of GypPlay, I have been doin this for like two weeks just from reading stuff but that doesnt sound familier. I will try the track forward thing other than that I could only think of the GypPlay being a factor, although I havent seen that term before. Yea I just tried to track forward and every possible thing and the ystill arent playing its reading it correctly as a VCD and it says PBC PLAY but nothings happening. I am using ezcdcreator 5 to make the vcd's could there be a small thing I a mforgetting?? Thanks, BD
