i used my dvdxpress to capture a 2 hour long movie from vhs. I have tried to use 2 different programs (dvd architect 2 AND dvd moviefactory 3) to get it onto dvd with no menu. just the movie itself. with both programs, the audio is fine for the beginning of the movie, but by the end, the sound is about 1.5 seconds off from the video. i have used this exact method before with no problems. the captured video is 720x480, 6000kbps, layer 2 224kbps. these are the same settings that worked for me before. any thoughts?

Dropped frames maybe?

Is the video out of sync on your PC or DVD player?
This plan is so bad, it must be one of ours. -

Is the Dvdxpress plugged into a USB 1.0 or USB 2.0. I ran into a problem using mine in the USB 2.0 when running a Athlon 1.2 GHZ. When I upgraded to a AthlonXP 1.8 I was able to use the USB 2.0 connection without any problems or dropped frames. Have you used the cap wizard program that came with dvdxpress. I have had better results with it then with Video Studio 7 or Sonic MyDVD.
