  1. hi

    i want to create dvd menu to data dvd ( or dvd-iso ).
    when i play such disc in my dvd player i get list of files ( mpg , mp3 ... ) and i can play them.
    i can't find any program that create menu without converting the video files to video dvd ( i want them to stay in vcd format ).

  2. You cannot do that. However, VCD video is allowed on a standard DVD.

    Just because it is mpeg-1 encoded doesnot make it VCD compliant, and therefore suitable for use on a DVD. Similarly, mp3 is not a DVD compliant file type. While some stand alone players will recognise mp3 and other file types on a data DVD, they will not recongise them on a video DVD unless they are compliant and authored correctly.

    It can be done, but for PC only. You cannot do it on a standalone. Actually, the way it can be done is not the same as authoring. It is Basically a menu program that runs the menu from Autoplay.
