I have captured some footage of my Kids in DVD quality. It plays fine on my hard drive through real one player.
I have gone to author in DVD Lab, have gone through the demultiplexing. When i burn to disc or even view the Video TS folder in Power DVD there is no sound at all... I have tried using AC3 and WAV audio and it doesnt seem to make a difference the Audio is not there

  3. I use Ulead Video Studio SE6 DVD, to capture directly to DVD Quality,

Then i load it up in DVD Lab, and do the Demultiplex, make sure the audio bitrate is 48k, Build menus etc
Then i compile to hard drive in DVD Lab
When this is done i go to watch it back in power dvd and video looks fine but there is no sound

    Thanks for replying

  5. I double click on the file name in windows explorer and it loads it in Power DVD,
I have also tried burning it to disk and the same problem came about

It funny that after i capture it the mpeg comes up fine, when i play it back in real one player, sound and video perfect, but once i do the demulitplex, and compile it seems the problem begins

    Hello,
Are you capturing directly to a dvd compliant mpg file? I do that all the time with my wintv pvr250 card. Just load the file into any dvd author program. The audio should already be 48hz for authoring, no need to demultiplex (at least that's been my experience). Try it and see if it works. Good luck.

  7. I have the same problem, and i use Unlead dvd maker, I recorded reagans funeral for a friend and went to put it to a dvd, I have sound in unlead, I have sound when I cut the sections I don't want out..

when I go finialize it, I have sound in the playback preview but the final output has no sound...

I think it is something with unlead... I have used other software to author recordings off tv and have had no problem, I started using unlead because I have a digital video camera and it was recommended, but, not having sound is not good..
