I have a home video that was transferred to DVD using a domestic DVD recorder. I now want to add titles and reburn to DVD. I have extracted an m2v, ac3 (and hence a wav using BeSweet). I have three queries:
1) How do I find out, definitively, the resolution, framerate, whether it is interlaced etc. for the m2v? SmartRipper said it was NTSC but PowerDVD seems convinced that it is PAL
2) What is the best way to add credits/titles? I do NOT want to re-encode the MPEG if at all possible. I do not need fancy credits, just static text over the pictures would do. I have ULead VideoStudio 7 SE DVD but when I try to "create disc", the hourglass comes up and the program freezes. I would be willing to use ULead or any of the free programs.
3) If I were to create a DVD-compliant MPEG, how can I burn it to disc, using only free tools?
Any help with any of these three topics would be gratefully received!
