I really like how this forum is set up. If you don't mind my asking whoever created this forum, how did you do it? Is there a base software package you used or is this all your own code? The reason I ask is because I work for a small company (not even closely related to videohelp) that would like to set up a forum similar to this. Any suggestions? If it is a "trade secret", I understand, but it doesn't hurt to ask does it?

    phpBB2 . PHP4
Invision . ASP (or was it PHP?)
    webwiz . ASP
    vbulletin . PHP4
    Snitz . ASP

Search google for one of those. Those are most popular.
ASP is easier to learn that PHP. But PHP forums are cleaner functioning.
You must have a server that runs all this.
And be prepared to tinker with code.
As far as self-installers, sure. But it's basic.
This forum is HIGHLY, HIGHLY customized by Baldrick. That guy knows his code.

Some are free, some you must buy.

He's highlighting the phpBB notice at the bottom of every page. They make customizable code for boards like this.

And for the truly lazy amongst us... Download PHP-Nuke to have a fully functioning site that will look pretty similar to VideoHelp.com. Though, like our blue'n'white friend points out, you'll need some tinkering on a Baldrick scale to get Nuke to function like this site.

Nuke is free, including backend (MySQL, phpBB - the same as this site, which is what zakman was asking about) and has highly customisable modules, using a web browser as an admin frontend. You can buy Nuke so you have the right to remove any reference to the author but, in all honesty, all that's there is a small tag at the bottom of the screen that isn't intrusive at all.
